About Me
Sawyer is a dedicated Mixing and Mastering Engineer and independent Trip-Hop/Electronica artist starting his career in the audio and music business. He studies Audio Production at MATC from great professors in the field. At his bedroom studio, he makes his own instrumental Trip-Hop/Electronica music and does the mixing and mastering for it. Sawyer is a creative perfectionist that can make your music sound professional and complete while adding unique character in the sound when it’s needed. "I feel like what each song needs is completely different from the last, and I make it my mission to give the music life through my mixes and compliment the vision of the artist." He takes inspiration from a very wide variety of genres, as well as video games and movies. Sawyer has had a love for music his whole life, and grew up playing around with various instruments and listening to a wide variety of music. He discovered his passion for audio and music during his time studying IT at WCTC in 2020, when he started making electronic music on his iPad as a hobby and creative outlet. It was way more fulfilling than programming or any hobby, so it soon became way more involved. Sawyer taught himself some mixing, production, and piano through watching Youtube videos and experimenting. He eventually went back to school, where he greatly expanded his knowledge and learned about mastering and live sound. The desire to always be learning and pushing themselves is just one of his personality traits, so he’s constantly improving and working towards something better.
